I’ve decided to delete LinkedIn because I want to protect my mental health and have a more peaceful online experience.
The constant stream of promotions, career milestones, professional achievements, and networking updates can make career growth feel like a never-ending competition. There’s always something new to accomplish, another milestone to reach, or another professional goal to pursue.
The platform’s emphasis on personal branding, professional visibility, and polished self-presentation also feels a little too performative for my taste. Add corporate announcements, workplace updates, and all the professional content competing for attention, and the whole experience can feel unnecessarily overwhelming.
I take my work seriously, but I don’t want my career to occupy so much space in my personal life.
I’d rather spend my time on things that help me relax, enjoy myself, and feel good.
LinkedIn simply isn’t good for my mental health, so I’m letting it go.
